I'm going to Tonga! ⛵

I have exciting news!

I'm going to Tonga!

This isn't an April fool's.

That was yesterday.

Today is April 2nd and we're back to serious business.

I have been selected, along with 13 other women, to join the crew of an ocean plastic pollution research mission.

We will be sailing ⛵ along the islands of Tonga and conducting experiments in the water, on the shore and further in land to gather data on plastic's journey from land to sea which will be used in a global scientific research project.

The voyage is organised by eXXpedition (pronounced eX-X-pedition) who run ocean-focused research missions to tackle plastic pollution and their mission is to help people truly connect with the plastic crisis and discover their unique role in tackling it.

As most of you know, I am very intersted in reducing physical waste with my creative work and this comes through in the products and art I create for you within The Gallivanters' Colouring Club.

This expedition is going to be a fascinating learning opportunity to build on my knowledge and understanding.

The trip is in June and preparations are already underway.
