Inspired by Zimingzhong, elaborate musical mechanical clocks popular with Chinese Emperors from the Qing Dynasty, this drawing is a blend of eastern and western design symbolising the blend of Chinese and British craftsmanship that was used to make the original clocks. Look closely at the drawing and you'll see the clocks making their way to China's Forbidden City.
